There's still time to get original art gifts from me for Christmas! I can mail anything through December 20th, according to the post office, through priority and it will get to you. If I mail first class, by the 18th, it should make it on time...
I have lots of great stocking stuffers, like buttons/pins, jewelry, minipops, stickers, magnets, plush dolls, and more! So check it out!!
I also have tshirts available for toddlers in my shop, or if you
want adult sizes, check out my cafepress page... I have lots of designs
and will be posting new designs this weekend, like "Who you callin'
shrimp?"

I've been pretty busy the last few weeks and haven't had time to update my blog. I seem to update flickr more often, so if you are on there, check out my pics. This is what I've been up to...

and I've been busy putting up the Christmas tree and decorations! Isn't it pretty? I have a vintage 60's aluminum tree with the original color spin wheel!

here is my nutcracker collection...

I've got another craft show this weekend and also been trying to keep up with Christmas orders. It's been kinda crazy! But it's a good thing right? If you are interested in getting something different for your special someone this Christmas, how about some of my artwork? Kids love it! My plushies are on sale for $10 too!

I always forget to write an entry in my blog, since I have flickr too. I should just have my flickr page as my blog page... But anyway, here is a pic of my booth that I had set up at the craft show...
(Entry from flickr on Saturday)
Turn out was great today. I'm am so pooped! I only got about 3 hours sleep last night. I wish I sold a little bit more though. This pic I took at the beginning of the show. I sold almost all the tshirts and sold a lot of minipops. Buttons went well with the kids. Sold some earrings too. The rest of the stock will go in my etsy shop. If you see anything you like here, let me know and I can see if I still have it available.
It kinda pissed me off that the ladies booth across from me all had stuff made from china. Purses, bags, scarves, etc. This show was supposed to be "handmade" only, and they have had problems with people coming in the past with all kinds of other stuff. So they made it clear this year with that, but somehow this people fudged on the entry application and used non-handmade products. Yuck. And they had a credit card machine too and I'm guessing their sales were over $1000 which sucks...
The weather today made a big difference with the turnout. It was 82 and sunny. In the beginning the sun was beaming down on my table and my chair and I couldn't sit directly in the heat, or I'd break out in hives. My booth space was perfect though... facing the parking lot on the sidewalk where everyone walks by.
I was thinking last night that this will probably be my last craft show, but the way things went today, I *may* consider doing more... I don't know yet.
Here are some new sculpey charms I made for the craft show. I thought they turned out pretty cute. The rest of them will be sold on etsy, once they get V2 up and running...
I'll be in a craft show this coming Saturday, November 11th, from 10-4 pm at the Trinity Bazaar, which is right next to the Columbia SC state house. I will have a small booth, hopefully in the breezeway area. Come see me if you are in town!
... Now I have to get back to work on getting everything together to take down there Sat. morning. I am NOT a morning person, so I may be groggy the first couple hours that I'm there.
Also, if I'm working on a custom order for you, please be patient, I'm VERY busy right now!! Thanks! :)
I finally got my moo cards in today. They took about two weeks, it seemed like, to get here from England. I really like them though. They are a lot smaller than regular sized business cards, about 2 3/4" long by an 1" wide. Kinda cute and different! I had them put my information on the back. If you have a flickr account you can get moo cards! www.moo.com/flickr
Try this, it really makes a difference...
In your firefox browser:
1. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll
down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time.
When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really
speeds up page loading.
2. Alter the entries as follows, click on them to change them:
Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This
means it will make 30 requests at once.
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer.
Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″.
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on
information it recieves.
If you’re using a broadband connection you’ll load pages 2-30 times faster now.
If you were a kid in the 70s and 80s, then you remember the plastic halloween costumes we all wore. They were so HOT! And I don't mean "cool", I mean they made you sweat, bad! Here in SC, it was always hot on halloween and kids probably lost 10 pounds on the night of halloween, and made it back up buy eating their entire bag of candy that evening when they got home.
Ahhh good times... Oh, and if you have anything you would like to share from the 80s, post it on flickr in my 80's wednesday group. It doesn't have to necessarily be on wednesday, but that's when I post mine. Have fun!
