A day in the life...
I was tagged by Holli Conger to post a typical day for me, so here it goes... My days aren't always like this, and I feel like my schedule is pretty unstructured, but that's the way it is! :)
- I wake up around 10:30 or 11 am without an alarm clock... (yes, I know that's late for some of you folks out there, but I'm not a morning person and I can't usually go to sleep until around 3 or 4 am)
- I take a shower, brush the toofs and all that bathroom stuff... I get dressed and my day starts around noonish.
- Around noon I turn on my laptop and my printer...
- 12 pm - I feed my goldfish... since they "seem" to be starving to death! ha!
- I check a few emails and then I head down to the kitchen to get a bite to eat...usually a salad or a sandwich (sometimes just oatmeal) around 12:30 pm.
- 1 pm, I go through more emails and answer questions and reply back to orders... usually thanking people for their order and give them a time frame for when it's to be mailed out. I have to answer a lot of etsy convos too (which are emails through etsy) and these are usually about anything from if you can make me a banner, do a custom order, etc... so that takes me awhile to go through those. Sometimes during this time from about 1-3pm, I also do some graphic orders to scratch those off my list... I'm usually listening to my itunes during this time. I also check flickr, myspace and other websites...
- Around 3-4, sometimes earlier, I also pack up some last min. orders to take to the post office... sometimes if they are just US orders I pack those up and print out the labels from paypal and just stick them out in my mail box before the postman comes around 4 or so... If I need to go to the post office, I usually go around this time to beat 5 o'clock traffic.
- Sometimes around 3-5, I will go to AC Moore or Michael's to pick up some supplies... like today, I went to AC Moore to get a 9x12 canvas and a couple paint brushes they had on sale for 30% off. Then I made a run to Staples around the corner to get some sticker paper and some magnet paper...
- Around 4-8, I'm either working on graphic orders, replying to more emails, or making plush dolls or my paintings... just depends on the day and what order comes in, or what consignment order needs to be filled.
- After dinner, I usually start working again, either on the computer or in the studio working on plush, paintings, etc.
- 12 am - Still working on graphics orders or printing out stuff like stickers, or other things... From 12 am - 3 am, I usually try to finish up anything that needs to be and head to bed...
- 3 - 4 am - getting ready for bed and watch some tv in my bedroom before going zzzzz.
Sometimes I work on a few orders on Saturday... I've been trying to take a break on weekends though. Sundays off.
